ABSTRACT
The article presents a clinical case of a rare granular cell Abricosov’s tumor in a 15 year old child. The tumor was localized in the left parapharyngeal space. The acute disease onset and the clinical picture required differential diagnosis with left-sided paratonsillar abscess. The results of CT and MRI with intravenous contrast of the pharynx made it possible to diagnose the tumor of parapharyngeal space on the left. The surgical treatment (tumor removal) was followed by the recovery.
