Technical requirements for submission of scientific articles
in Russian Otorhinolaryngology Journal
The submitted article shall have the referrals of Institution wherein it was made, with the Supervisor’s consent, the signature of the Institution head, certified seal.
The electronic version of the article shall include file containing the article text (in Microsoft Word format – any version, without word wraps).
If illustrations and tables are included in the article`s file, then it is necessary to additionally submit files with illustrations and tables.
ARTICLE STRUCTURAL SCHEME:
- article`s title (in ordinary lowercase font), initials and surnames of authors, institution and its index;
- please, specify the contact person responsible for correspondence;
- abstract, keywords;
- brief note;
- methods (patients and methods);
- research results and analysis;
- conclusion (findings);
- literature.
The article text is typed in Times New Roman 12, one-and-a-half spacing. 2 cm margins on each side.
The volume of reviewed articles and lectures shall not exceed 15 pages, experimental and general theoretical research – 10 pages. This volume includes text, illustrations (photographs, drawings), tables and literature. The abstract shall have a volume of 150-250 words, be concise and informative. Abstract, keywords, information about the authors shall be translated into English. The presentation shall be concise, clear, without duplication of these tables and figures in the text.
If the article contains a large number of abbreviations, the list of abbreviations shall precede the article.
It is advisable to indicate the ORCID Scientist Identifier, which is available at https://orcid.org.
At the end of the paper, the following shall be indicated in both Russian and English:
- surname, name, patronymic of the authors in full;
- duty position;
- academic degree;
- academic rank;
- workplace;
- workplace address with postal code;
- contact number;
- email.
The article authors shall fill out the clashing interest questionnaire, certify it with the Institution seal and attach a scan or photo to the article.
LIST OF REFERENCES
List of References shall be compiled in citation order. Besides fundamental ones, it is recommended to use publications over the last 5-10 years.
All references indicated in the List of References shall be included in the article`s text. The article text shall include the List of References serial number [in square brackets]. Literary sources in the text and the List shall correspond to each other.
Without special need, it is not necessary to quote textbooks, manuals, reference books, dictionaries, collections of articles, dissertations, small-run publications, as they may not be available.
Do not change links to foreign public sources.
Links to journal publications shall have DOI – article`s unique digital identifier in the CrossRef system (indicated at the end of the description).
If the article does not have DOI but is posted on the Internet, the URL location shall be included in the description.
For uploading to international citation indices, it is necessary to submit the second List of References.
JOURNAL ARTICLES
Surnames and initials of all authors in Latin, article`s English title (shall be taken from the original article), if there is no translation into English, the Journal transliterated (using BSI standard), while reference to the original language is given at the end of description (in Russian).
Books, monographs, etc. are given using transliteration (BSI) having preserved submission style, the language is indicated at the end (in Russ.)
The author is responsible for the correctness of the List of References.
FIGURE REQUIREMENTS
File format – TIFF, any software that supports this format (Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, etc.);
resolution – at least 300 dpi;
figure width is maximum 150 mm, figure height is maximum 130 mm;
figure legend shall be easy to read, font at least 8–9 pt.
Illustrations shall be clear and not blurred.
Figure captions shall be submitted in Russian and English.
TABLE REQUIREMENTS
Words are not abbreviated in the Table.
Table headings are sent in Russian and English.
ADDITIONALLY
The issue of article publishing that contains advertising nature is decided after the agreement with the relevant company.
Maximum two papers of one author(s) are to be published in the same journal issue.
The article publication is carried out only after the conclusion of the license agreement between the article editors and the author(s).
Submitted articles are reviewed by the Editorship and Editorial Board members and the leading peers. Articles with a positive review are accepted for publication.
Manuscripts are not returned to the authors.
