The level of comfort of a surgeon using navigation support

ABSTRACT
Objective: To determine the qualitative level of surgeon’s comfort in the process of surgery of the patients with chronic suppurative otitis media with the use of navigation support and without it.
Material and methods: In our work we studied the same person, a surgeon, in comfortable conditions for the surgery, in excellent physical and mental health.
Results. The pulse rate and, therefore, the level of surgeon’s stress during the surgery using the navigation support was reliably lower than during the surgery without such support. According to the Short Form Health Survey SF-36, the indicators were significantly higher during and after the surgery using the navigation support.
