ABSTRACT
The description of the interaction of respiration and heart rate as the two most significant short-period oscillators of the human body can be important in the diseases where the control of the respiratory function rhythm is impaired. It is assumed that some of the proposed mathematical and statistical indicators of cardiorespiratory coordination will make it possible to more clearly evaluate its change in stuttering that invariably has the respiratory disorders, in its clinical picture. This article studies the cardiorespiratory coordination based on the group of patients with stuttering and freely speaking subjects using graphic and statistical methods. The basis for the calculation was the data of the time coordinates of R-peaks in the set of QRS-electrocardiograms of patients and respiratory cycles.
The objective of the study was to investigate the cardiorespiratory interaction in patients with stuttering based of the proposed indicators of cardiorespiratory coordination. The presented research methods showed a loss of cardiorespiratory coordination in patients with stuttering.
