ABSTRACT
The article provides a brief historical overview of the previously used classifications of chronic tonsillitis. The author proposes his new classification of chronic tonsillitis in the form of its three forms (simple, recurrent, and complicated), which are substantiated by clinical criteria and offers therapeutic approaches to each of the forms of this disease.
