ABSTRACT
Despite the successes of modern medical science, a powerful arsenal of diagnostic techniques (including neurophysiological methods and neuroimaging), the diagnosis for cochleovestibular disorders usually depends on the personal experience of the doctor and is based on the results of a clinical examination and symptomatic criteria. Given the complexity of identifying idiopathic Meniere’s disease, this paper discusses a number of comorbid and conjugate conditions accompanied by low-frequency sensorineural hearing loss. Due to the variety of causes of the development of this type of hearing loss, emphasis is placed on the expediency of expanding the examination of patients in this category.
