ABSTRACT
The increase in the incidence of chronic tonsillitis, the increase in the frequency of complications caused by it as well as an increase in the number of patients with absolute contraindications to surgical treatment make the search for effective local therapy of chronic tonsillitis an urgent task. The article provides a brief literary review of the works of domestic and foreign authors devoted to the features of the clinical picture, diagnosis, and conservative treatment of chronic tonsillitis.
