ABSTRACT
In this paper, the issue of functional hearing loss is considered, and some controversial issues of the terminology used in the domestic literature are discussed, used in the characterization of hearing loss. It is emphasized that insufficient attention is paid to the possible connection between the deterioration of auditory perception and the state of intracranial pressure, especially the influence of the latter on perilymphatic pressure, which is quite successfully correlated with proper medical tactics with a corresponding improvement in hearing after treatment, often in chronic hearing loss.
