ABSTRACT
This article presents a clinical case of surgical treatment for chronic obstruction of the pharyngeal orifice of the Eustachian tube on the right and obliteration of the cartilaginous portion of the Eustachian tube on the left. The cause of this was a previously performed surgical intervention in the nasal cavity, which led to cicatricial fusion of the orifice of the Eustachian tube on the left and to the closure of the pharyngeal orifice of the Eustachian tube on the right by the posterior end of the nasal concha. This condition obviously provoked the development of an unsatisfactory result after reconstructive hearing-improving surgery on the right ear and the appearance of chronic secretory otitis media and retraction of the tympanic membrane on the left ear.
