ABSTRACT
Abstract. Reconstructive surgery for congenital anomalies in the outer and middle ear is one of the most difficult tasks of modern otosurgery. The anatomical diversity of developmental anomalies precludes the use of unified surgical approaches and requires individualized tactics in order to minimize the risk of complications. The main adverse outcomes of canalplasty are restenosis and fibrous obliteration of the reconstructed canal of the external auditory canal, the formation of resistant granulation tissue, lateralization or perforation of the tympanic membrane after reconstruction. According to the world literature, the incidence of such complications varies from 8 to 42%. Objective. To evaluate the frequency and structure of adverse anatomical outcomes of surgical treatment of patients with congenital anomalies in the outer and middle ear, as well as to identify risk factors for restenosis of the formed canal that affect the final functional results of the operation.
