ABSTRACT
The presented clinical case is interesting due to the characteristics of the foreign body – a complex shape large metal toy-soldier, its localization in the larynx, and the specific aspects of transportation of the child to the hospital. These aspects made it possible to prevent fatal outcome and remove the foreign body through the upper respiratory airway and avoid tracheotomy. The foreign body removal is performed by direct laryngoscopy without anesthesia.
