Epidemiology of foreign objects of the nasal cavity in a large megalopolis

ABSTRACT
The article presents a retrospective analysis of the prevalence of nose pathology, in particular, foreign objects of the nasal cavity in children’s hospitals in Moscow at the period of 2012 through 2016. The prevailing nose pathology is the nasal injure (23.4%), the 2nd position is occupied by inflammatory diseases of nose and paranasal sinuses (17%), and the 3rd one – by the foreign objects of the nasal cavity (6.6%). Particular attention is paid to foreign objects of the nasal cavity causing complications in children.
