ABSTRACT
Vertigo is a common complaint of patients visiting both otorhinolaryngologist and other doctors. The most common cause of vertigo is the benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. We have suggested a method for diagnostics of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo caused by the damage of superior semicircular canal, by means of a special positional maneuver. This test is more specific for diagnostics of the superior semicircular canal damage and has less pronounced vegetative symptoms in comparison with the Dix-Hallpike test. The article presents a case history.
