ABSTRACT
Abstract. Introduction. Throughout the history of otorhinolaryngology, various methods of nose reconstruction have been developed, among which the use of skin flaps stands out. This made it possible to reconstruct nasal defects caused by various causes, such as post-traumatic deformities and carcinomas located in the nasal region. The main purpose of these interventions is to restore the shape and function of the nose and, above all, to provide the patient with a satisfactory aesthetic result. Objective. Present a clinical case of rhinoplasty in a male patient with post-traumatic nasal deformity after a bite. The repair of the defect with the nasolabial flap took place in two stages, which made it possible to achieve the best aesthetic appearance and functionality. The nasolabial flap was chosen as the treatment method for nasal tip and alar region defects because of its features in terms of location, vascularization, innervation, and function. Conclusion. In rhinoplasty, the use of a nasolabial flap is often preferred to repair small and medium-sized skin defects in the nose’s tip. This is because to its adaptability associated with unique anatomical and vascular features that allow the flap to integrate into the defect area seamlessly. An important advantage is the minimal difference in skin color and texture compared to the surrounding tissues.
