ABSTRACT
Abstract. Prosthetic reconstruction of patients with microtia and post-traumatic loss of the auricle of various origins silicone using epithesis is accepted by the professional community of doctors as an alternative method of surgical plastic surgery. Modern epitheses of the auricle are modeled in a CAD system based on a scan of the preserved contralateral natural auricle, the virtual mirror image of which is adapted in a computer modeling program to the prosthetic bed. According to the created virtual model of the auricle, a personalized design of the mold (cuvette) of the auricle ectoprosthesis is modeled, which is made of a heat-resistant polymer using additive printing technology. Objective. To develop a methodology for assessing the quality of life for patients who have undergone the procedure of prosthetic reconstruction of the missing auricle, which is based on the Rasch model of estimating latent variables, which will make it possible to obtain an integral assessment of the quality of life on a linear scale independent of the number of patients and a set of questionnaire questions. Results. The author suggests a direction for obtaining objective assessments based on subjective criteria of patients who have received auricular prosthetics, which is associated with a model for processing private assessments of quality of life when receiving a final assessment. It is based on a new but intensively developing model of objective measurements, which is based on the theory of latent variables.
