ABSTRACT
The article presents results of a short-term prospective randomized study of free radial oxidation processes, qualitative and quantitative composition of leukocytes, their functional-metabolic status and cytokine profile in the swabs of the nasal cavity mucous membrane in rhinosurgiсal patients operated for deflected nasal septum on the first day after the surgery. It has been established that the following processes develop in the swabs of the patients after the 24th tamponage: the neutrophiliс leukocytosis develops, absorptive activity reduces and lysosomal activity activates, NВT-reduсing ability of neutrophilic granulocytes reduces, IL-1β, IL-8, IL-4 concentration increases, IL-2 content decreases, the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase decreases.
